Happy Sunday!

I apologize for the every other day posts lately, i've been battling what I think is the flu the past few days. I've been trying to blog when I feel "better", some days are better than others. I wouldn't say today was a better day, I just decided to actually take some medicine to help me out lol.

So I thought today we would switch things up a bit and review some makeup products! Actually, more like E.L.F products since they seem to be the new drugstore makeup that everyone is talking about. My oh so lovely sister in law made a post in one of the groups that I am following in facebook about E.L.F having a massive sale on their website. Things for like .40 so I was like oh heck yeah! Let me jump on this band wagon and try this stuff out!!! So here we go y'all, enjoy! ALL pictures can be clicked for the actual product ;)

Aqua Primer Mist : I am IN Love with this primer mist! It makes your skin feel oh so soft and hydrated like you can conquer the world, with just your primer. What is so great about this one is that its also a setting spray too! So spray away ladies. Something I learned from my favorite YouTuber Jaclyn Hill is to cover your eyes before you set your face for the day. It helps your mascara from running and doesn't cause your eye shadow to set funky.

Studio Flawless Finish Foundation: For years I've been using the Covergirl photo finish foundation which gives excellent coverage, so i'm used to a "hey girl you've got foundation on" kinda look. With this foundation I found it to be quite light and you couldn't even really tell that I was using any foundation. I needed to apply additional foundation on to certain areas for more coverage but overall I'd say this is a pretty good foundation for the price. In all honesty I like the flawless finish and most likely won't be going back to my previous foundation.

Tone Correcting Concealer: To be honest this concealer was a bit too dark for me. I normally like the extremely light concealers for some reason they tend to just cover more. I did buy this in the lightest shade they had. Overall it wasn't that great, it could have been lighter and covered better. It did smell pretty fancy though ;)

High Definition Powder Sheer: So in the future I will definitely do my research on products to buy before I actually purchase anything else again. This powder is not bad don't get me wrong, however when I set my face I went from a flawless you couldn't even tell I had makeup on, to a WHAM BAM you got an orangey face on mam'. I could just be using this wrong, but the shimmer is so pretty and caught my attention on the website that I thought I had to have it. Ladies do your research before you buy this product!

Studio HD Blush: Y'all.. I don't even know where to start with this one. I literally put A DROP of this stuff on, rubbed it in like the directions say and I looked like a freaking clown. This is a heck to the double NOPE product! Oh my gosh girls. This was awful! Here I had the semi-flawless face going on, was super happy with these products and then this was like a train wreck just happened on my face. Just terrible y'all.

Shimmer with Brush: So after that train wreck, baby wipes and reapplied make up I decided to try this shimmer. I honestly don't know why I did not buy an actual highlighter (maybe because i'm obsessed with Wet N' Wilds highlighter..?) anyway I wanted to try to do a full face E.L.F so I tried to use this a highlighter. Its VERY shimmery, which I love. Want to make your face shine like a diamond? This is it ladies. My face went from dull to full on bling. I personally love to make the face bling so I had no problems with this. After highlighting or in my case "shimmering" I even brushed some on my collarbone to give it that added shiine.

Studio Makeup Brush: Before I dive right into the eyes, I thought I'd share some thoughts about the brushes I used. I don't know why I didn't take a picture of ALL my brushes (I blame the NyQuil.) But for drugstore brushes these aren't half bad! They are a little on the harder side, which I wasn't a fan of. I think brushes are a preference kinda thing so if you don't mind harder brushes than these are for you. The eye shadow brush there on the end to the far right, it could use some work though because dangg did that hurt even AFTER wetting the brush!

Baked Eyeshadow Trio, Peach Please: I actually got this for free in the mystery gift they sent me. So I did some swatches of this and the colors were actually very pretty. So i decided to use the lighter color on my eyes. I actually fell in love with this color. Its very shimmery, my only complaint with this one was that its very hard! Like, I seriously had to run my brush over this like ten times to actually get anything on the brush! I went to YouTube on this issue and found that if you scrape the first layer off its supposed to be better, so i'll have to give this a try. The dark brown was just a little TOO dark for me.

Smudging Pot: I don't know why but I couldn't find this anywhere on the website or on Amazon. They must be sold out on this product. I must say I do love this stuff! I put it on over the light brown eye shadow and wow did it pop! Its shimmery so if your not into the glitter look, this isn't for you! I even put it in my inner corners of my eyes for an added pop to the eyes. It was very easy to apply and smudge, however after a few seconds it dries so make sure you apply and smudge quickly otherwise you won't be smudging this badboy after it dries completely.

Expert Liquid Liner: I'm usually not a liquid eyeliner fan, just because I'm old school and like the pencil. If your trying to achieve the wing look, this is a great product. It literally glides right on and was so easy to achieve the wing look that I myself was like "heyy...not too shabby for a first timer of the wing look" But of course I couldn't take a picture because the train wreck of the blush was just awful and this was BEFORE the blush.. so yeah. If your not a wing type of gal' then I'd just stick to the old school pencil, because why not right?

Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara: I got this for free from the mystery gift they sent me, and I can honestly say, I've used better. It was very clumpy, I had to like un-stick my eyelashes because, it looked like they were glued on! It was just awful. I don't know if I got a bad batch of this stuff, but for my first impression on this wasn't a good one! I took this off and put on my colossal mascara..this was a big nope for me.

Bronzers, Golden Bronzer: I'm not even going to lie, I love this bronzer for contouring. I recently learned from watching YouTube that bronzers can be used as a contour as well! I use this stuff as eyeshadow and I even put this underneath my eyes too. It goes on so smooth and it isn't too dark either. It leaves a very nice subtle contour.

Eyeshadow Trio : Again, I could not find this on any site probably because it was only .40 but anyway.. you can tell this is cheap eyeshadow. I did swatch these and they did look nice, so I did decide to try the light purple and pink before I tried the Peach Please eyeshadows and let me tell you... I didn't see a dang thing!! I was like "wait whaa? Where is it?" Even after digging in a few times with my brush I STILL couldn't get anything to show up! So I said to heck with it and moved on. At least I only paid .40 for them right?

Shimmering Facial Whip: So If your like me and like that blingin' look on your face then you'll just love this! I added this on top of the shimmer because why not, I'm trying out ALL the products (or trying to ) why not try this too? I honestly think this would have been better mixed with blush if you like a little shimmer in your blush. I'll be trying that next time rather than putting it on as an added highlighter and also pick either shimmer or this facial whip. Because lets get real, my face was already in your face shimmering before lol. This looks a lot more pink than it really is. Once you apply it, its more shimmer than pink. Looks are deceiving on this one!

Eyebrow Treat and Tame: I think eyebrow products are extremely hard to order online. You don't know your exact match online, so I played the guessing game and unfortunately did not get my right match. I did try this out, and if I had found my right shade I probably would have liked this product. It was very easy to apply. If your someone who only wants to spend a few minutes on their brows then this might be your go to product. Its worth a try. I only paid 1.60 during the sale so not a huge loss for me.

So about the lip glosses/ lip stick, most of them are great for lip glosses. They do the trick of looking pretty and feeling great on your lips. The lip stain was a no go for me. It is by no means a lipsense but it just didn't do anything for me. Hurt to put it on and didn't stain my lips at all. In fact after 5 minutes of wearing it, I could wipe it off. So I was not sold on that one. My favorite was the lip stick in the black tube. It smelt great and was a cute light pink. Perfect for on the go, you could easily pair it with a light pink lip gloss and it make you look fabulous... in my opinion..

In the future I will defiantly do my research on products to buy first, but with a sale this good I couldn't resist. There are a few things that I want to try from E.L.F that I hear are great and once I get those I will be doing another review on them! Right now, I can't say that I am in love with E.L.F products but I am pretty impressed with the line so far. I honestly can't wait to try more from them. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read my blog and I hope everyone has an awesome Sunday evening.

I've added a few links that I recommend checking out!
